Saturday, Oct. 22, Talking Rock Ranch will host its 3rd annual Talking Green Fair and Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ranch Compound. The event, free and open to the public, will feature approximately 30 environmentally-focused architects, builders, contractors and suppliers on hand to discuss green home designs. In conjunction with the Talking Green Fair, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. six of the luxury homes currently available at Talking Rock will be part of the Open House Tour. More than 100 Prescott-area residents attended the event last year.
"The Talking Green Fair is a popular event. We offer those looking to build an environmentally-sensitive home a less taxing opportunity to visit with an array of vendors," said Jim Jones, director of sales for Talking Rock. "For the first time Talking Green is featuring an open house allowing attendees to tour six of our currently listed properties at Talking Rock."
Talking Rock Ranch was carefully designed by Scottsdale-based Swaback Partners to protect view corridors and maintain the natural integrity of the land. With more than 1,000 acres devoted to open space, the community is situated among pinion and juniper forests, and provides 360-degree views of surrounding mountain ranges. In December 2009, Talking Rock Ranch worked with developers to introduce smaller, more energy-efficient custom homes in Prescott.
